Problems in Breast Surgery: A Repair Manual
Edited by
Jack Fisher and Neal Handel

In 2013 breast augmentation remained the #1 cosmetic surgery procedure in the U.S. Thousands of women additionally undergo reconstructive surgery after breast cancer treatment. The challenges of each operation vary, and unfortunately, not all surgeries produce the desired results. According to the National Institute of Medicine, 25 to 40 percent of patients who undergo breast augmentation end up needing a secondary procedure.

Problems in Breast Surgery: A Repair Manual provides a virtual lifeline for addressing the challenges encountered in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery and avoiding possible problems and complications. The book does not tell you which solution is best — that decision is left to you. Rather, the manual provides a detailed roadmap, explaining how to move from point A, the problem, to point B, the solution. Find out more about this unique problem-solving approach to many common and unusual surgical dilemmas encountered with breast surgeries. Beginners and experts alike will benefit from the strategies provided in this book.

Dallas Rhinoplasty: Nasal Surgery by the Masters,
Third Edition

Edited by
Rod J. Rohrich, William P. Adams, Jamil Ahmad, and Jack Gunter

Arguably one of the first plastic surgeries, rhinoplasties were first performed in India in 600 B.C. — the first recorded "nose job" is found in ancient Indian Sanskrit texts. Physicians reconstructed noses by cutting skin from either the cheek or forehead, twisting the skin side out over a leaf of the appropriate size, and sewing it into place. Two polished wooden tubes were inserted into the nostrils to keep the air passage open during healing. A renowned rhinoplasty reference, Dallas Rhinoplasty: Nasal Surgery by the Masters, Third Edition presents the work of recognized pioneers who provide comprehensive coverage of primary and secondary rhinoplasty. The two-volume set features 18 new chapters, numerous color images, and DVDs containing videos of operative procedures, giving you the tools you need to achieve superb results. Now published with a bonus eBook version which allows you to view content on mobile devices, tablets, and computers.

50 Studies Every Plastic Surgeon Should Know
C. Scott Hultman

Advances in every field rely on the work of those who have gone before, and plastic surgery is no different. Discovering better methods by building on previous discoveries is a guiding principle. However, plastic surgery has advanced more often by disruptive innovation than by incremental advances. 50 Studies Every Plastic Surgeon Should Know identifies some of the most influential contributors to the discipline of plastic surgery—those who have laid the foundation for modern practice. Rather than progressing through the slow accumulation of knowledge, this specialty is propelled into the future by individuals with remarkable wisdom, courage, and insight. The 50 studies discussed give you a firm grasp on the latest techniques and important innovations. Many of the studies include reflections from the original writer and the book is published with a bonus e-version.
